How the POP cement market in Lagos works for buyers

Product types and what Fubach lists

Gypsum plaster is not always one single product. The Indian standard IS 2547 (Part 1) describes several types. This is an Indian standard, not a Nigerian rule, and we cite it only to show that the name on a bag may not tell the full story.

What to compare between POP cement sellers

Make sure you compare the same product name, the same bag size and the same quantity. A quote for a 40kg bag and a quote for a smaller bag are not the same price. Then ask two more things. Does the price include delivery or offloading? And is the bag in stock today?

A lower asking price does not tell you about quality or safety. Ask your installer, and test a small mix first. Wear a dust mask when you mix POP, because the powder is fine and easy to breathe in.
